Riding Around on the Rooftop!

These pictures are of the NROL boys family, this is a family of 7 boys with a house mother, these boys are incredibly SMART, they are all doing well at school and speak English like pro’s! A couple of the boys here are special needs children but are still keeping up with the others and doing extremely well with the support and care they get from their house mother and special need carers.

And boy oh boy was it fun Unicycling around on the roof with each of the boys! This day was my best so far!!

Sahara Childrens Home :)

Visiting Sahara children’s home, this is a home for children on their way to foster family groups. Children stay here with carers, go to school, do chores, and get to experience life as all children should; these children are smart, funny and full of life!

When they saw the Unicycles their eyes lit up! We were Unicycling into the night- so much FUN!

Tonight I found myself helping out my friend Kati at Olive CafĂ©, I only popped this one in because I was recognised by many in the audience as ‘that unicycle guy’!

Meeting the office

Today I took a visit to the Hope for Himalayan Kids Nepal office. Here I met the staff that runs the organisation over here in Pokhara. I was told all about at risk children, and how the case workers of HFHK help keep children with their families. It is shocking to learn that children are abandoned because their families have no other choice, but amazing to learn that I can do something to help!

The BIG QUESTION!!! ...."Can i have a try!?"

Today I met a man from the UK who asked for a go! How exciting! He jumped on and after a few stumbles got a few metres, very impressive! Although he wasn’t the only one to have a go! Everywhere I go with my unicycle, I am greeted with the question and adults and children alike have a turn! Spreading the laughter and happiness unicycles bring!

Greeting 2011 with a festival

Greeting the New Year with a hop down the main road of Lakeside Pokhara! Nepali and Westerners alike come out onto the streets and celebrate with music, games and rides for a whole week!
At the new year festival, here I rode around for a while and got smiles from both children and adults. Even the security guards gave a little chuckle! I only spent an hour or so here, after being chased by hoards of children all through the grounds-a GIANT game of tag! J
